Very cool unit.

By customer "RoundOut" on August 10, 2017
Very cool unit. It uses ultrasonic sensors instead of a propeller to measure wind speeds up to 90+ mph. It is best used in an area where you can mount it at about 30+ feet and above the highest point of one's roof. The batteries are supposed to last two years. If they do, then roof mounting will be the next phase of mine. I made a bracket out of PVC water pipe and fittings, and mounted mine above the roof line at the edge of my garage. This is far from optimal, as the unit gets more turbulent winds at that height. It still works, but won't give the true wind speed, since the wind is measured properly at 33 feet above the ground.

Accurate and sturdy. Housing is plastic and it will be interesting to see how it holds up against UV rays.

A very easy to install wind gauge that appears to be very accurate. A nice addition to the Netatmo family.

I purchased the NetAtmo weather station and rain gauge about 9 months ago. in anticipation of having a sever "El Nino" year. I knew the the wind gauge would be coming out in early summer. I purchased it when it was available and installed it on the peak of my house. I have another Anemometer to compare the two reading.

The wind gauge by NetAtmo is very accurate. I only have slight variance in readings, but that could be from my instillation.

Quick, easy install!

By customer "HuskerFan" on September 18, 2016
I've had the wind gauge outside for two weeks now. It works well and is very close to the national weather service station about 10 miles away.

I think the construction is good and the installation was very quick and easy.

I purchased the Netatmo mount and placed the wind gauge on top of a 6' tall 4x4 pole. I'll review the mount separately, but I'll say here that it did the job just fine.

I would recommend the wind gauge to add additional value to your Netatmo personal weather station! I enjoy it.
